Feedback Appreciated
From the Pastor
Each week as a congregation we spend money to print these bulletins. Each week as the preacher I spend considerable time putting the bulletin together and making sure it is up to date.
I can’t count the number of weeks that have gone by since someone commented to me on something in the bulletin.
That is not at all to say, “Poor pitiful me” or to get you or someone else to pat me on the back and say “Good job.”
I am earnestly trying to decide if the weekly bulletin is worth the time and expense.
If the only reason we have a bulletin is because we are used to having a bulletin, then I am not sure that alone warrants the time and expense.
However, if members truly get valuable information that they would not get somewhere else, then it probably does warrant the time and money.
We have announcements on our screens along with the prayer list scrolling, and we try to verbally announce most things as well.
So, if you would be kind enough to share your opinion with me once you read this, I would greatly appreciate it.
If I don’t really hear from anyone, maybe I will know that no one is actually reading these articles anyway.
As well as feedback on the overall use and effectiveness, any ideas you may have to help improve the bulletin would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing from you. Oh yeah, don’t be worried about hurting my feelings. I’m a big boy, and as long as you are being constructive in your comments, I can take it.
