GOD KNOWS!

“I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done.” -Isaiah 46:9-10

Some people desperately want to know their future. When God speaks of the future, He knows what He is talking about because He can see into eternity. Through the prophet Isaiah, God said, “Remember the former things of old, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done” (Isaiah 46:9–10 NKJV).

Unlike humans, who learn history from beginning to end, God knows the end from the beginning. He is eternal, infinite, perfect, and timeless. Therefore, when God tells us about future events, we can trust His words.

God knows everything about the universe, every bird that falls, and every thought we think. He searches and knows us intimately. The psalmist David wrote, “O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me” (Psalm 139:1 NLT). God’s knowledge is so profound that He can see through us, knowing our true intentions.

Jesus, during His time on earth, knew the minds of His disciples and those around Him. He is the unseen listener in every conversation and the unseen guest at every table, aware of everything. While we may forget things, God never forgets, except for our sins, which He chooses to remember no more (Hebrews 8:12).

For those trying to run from God, His omniscience is a cause for concern, as their efforts will fail. But for those walking with God, it brings great comfort, knowing they are never alone. David said, “You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head” (Psalm 139:5 NLT). God surrounds us in on every side, watching over and caring for us.
