Pastor Appreciation
From the Pastor
October is considered pastor appreciation month and this past Wednesday night this congregation shared with not only me but my wife their appreciation for what we do.
It’s not hard to find articles on the internet that have titles and subjects dealing with something like, “things your pastor wishes the congregation understood.” Then these articles begin to relay all those difficult areas that preachers, ministers, pastors, and elders deal with.
It would seem a better posture would be for me to tell you 3 things I hope you know that are way more positive.
- It is an incredible privilege to serve in such a capacity as this.
The truth is I am the one who should be offering you a cake and card with gifts cards in it.
- I love the local church and I really hope you do too.
One pastor put it this way. “How awesome is it to be a shining city on hill instead of just a dim lamp in my home.
- I love that so many of you are willing to stand firm in the truth of God’s Word as cultural chaos surrounds us.
A commitment to stand firm in the truth will always have the power to unite us through any disagreement we may have.
