We know that visiting a new church can be a difficult and even sometimes a stressful process. We want to make your first visit here at Cumberland Church of Christ an easy and enjoyable one.
What to Expect
We strive to make your first experience at Cumberland Church of Christ a stress free and pleasant experience.
When You Arrive
As you arrive at our building you will notice a covered portico at the main entrance. If you need assistance or to drop passengers off, feel free to pull in under the portico.
As you enter the main entrance plan on being greeted by someone on our greeter teams. As you walk in the door, they will direct you to our welcome center where you can gather more information about our church.
Any questions you may have about Sunday school classes, Life Groups, Service times, etc. can be answered by our caring volunteers at the welcome center.
If you are so inclined a hot fresh cup of coffee with all the fixings will be ready for you there as well.
What Should I Wear?
At Cumberland Church of Christ, we are not focused on how you look. All we ask is people dress in modest attire. Please wear what makes you feel comfortable. You’ll see people in jeans, slacks, dresses, ties, and t-shirts. We are much more focused on the heart inside than the clothes on the outside.
What Style of Worship Should I Expect?
Our worship service would be considered traditional by most. We sing a mixture of older and newer songs, but all of our singing is done acapella. We partake of the Lord’s Supper each week. Our overall worship time is right at one hour with the sermon time normally around 20-30 minutes long.
