What We Believe

We believe in the inspiration of the accepted cannon of the Scriptures as originally given and that they are perfectly and uniquely authoritative in all matters, including scientific, historical, moral and theological.

2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Corinthians 2:13

We believe in one God who eternally exists as three distinct Persons – The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Stated differently, God is one in essence and three in person. This means each person is distinct from the other and that each person is still fully God.

Philippians 1:2; Titus 2:13; Acts 5:3-4

We believe God sent His only begotten Son to our world to be the Savior of all people who believe, have faith, and are obedient in/to Him. We further believe He came to our world conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and was both fully God and fully man.

Luke 1:26-35; John 1:18; Isaiah 7:14, 9:16

We believe Christ died upon the cross of Calvary for our sins. That He was buried in a tomb and rose from that tomb by the Power of the Holy Spirit on the third day. We further believe that after he rose from the tomb He personally appeared to His disciples.

1 Corinthians 15:14; Romans 4:25

We believe we are all sinners and in need of salvation. We further believe that salvation comes through God’s grace alone. In order to receive God’s grace, we believe one must have faith in the perfect, atoning, all sufficient work of Christ Jesus on the cross of Calvary.

Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:12, 22; Romans 5:11

We believe in the necessity of water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in order to be obedient to the command of Christ.

Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:37-39; 19:1-6

We believe the Church is the unified body of which Christ Jesus is the head. We further believe that as the body we are to gather together locally to worship God Almighty and to encourage one another. Our mission as the local church is to help spread the message of hope that comes through the grace of God the Father, through the sacrifice of Jesus the Son, and is provided in us through the Holy Spirit.
